John Truscio, 56, of Rocky Hill, passed away peacefully at his home, Monday August 30, 2010. Born in New Britain, March 1, 1954, he was the son of the Barbara Truscio of Avon and the late Harold “Harry” Truscio. He grew up in New Britain and Avon, graduating from Avon High School, then went on to attend Trinity College, prior to becoming employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for the past 31 years, most recently as an Expeditor. He was a communicant of The First Church of Christ in Wethersfield. John enjoyed his hobbies of photography and cycling, most especially the rides to and around the West Hartford Reservoir. But his main passions in life were flying, and motorcycle riding, which included a cross country trip on his bike. Along with his mother, John will be fondly remembered by his family; a son, Jesse Truscio of Gainesville, FL; daughter, Danielle Waler of St. Augustine, FL; brother, Henry Truscio of Avon; his grandson, Richard Waler IV of St. Augustine, FL; his extended families, the Pawelec’s and Regish’s, as well as many close and dear friends. In addition to his father, John was predeceased by a sister, Paula. Friends and relatives may call on the family, Wednesday, September 15, 2010, from 4-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. A Celebration of John’s life will be held Thursday, September 16, 2010, at 11am in the Meeting House of The First Church of Christ, 250 Main Street, Wethersfield.
