Julia Theresa (O’Grady) D’Angelo, 80, of Wethersfield, the beloved wife of the late Angelo D’Angelo, entered eternal peace Saturday May 1, 2010 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Glynn) O’Grady, residing in Wethersfield most of her life. Julia was a graduate of St. Patrick’s School, Hartford Public High, and the Morse School of Business. She was employed by the Southern New England Telephone Co., State of CT Labor Dept., and retired from The Hartford Insurance Group. Julia was very gentle, kind, and loving to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed and remembered by her loving family, to whom she was ever devoted; her four children, John D’Angelo and Beth Baines of Portland, Nicholas D’Angelo of Wethersfield, Peter D’Angelo of Glastonbury, and Christine and her husband John Howarth of Canton; three granddaughters, Grace, Samantha, and Olivia; her sister, Gertrude Gaherty; and many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister Mary, and brothers, John and Francis O’Grady. The D’Angelo family wishes to extend their most heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Julia’s caregiver Barbara, for the wonderful care she provided to Julia. Julia’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield, Wednesday May 5, 2010 from 10am-12noon, at which time a prayer service will be held in remembrance of Julia’s life. Interment will follow at the family plot in Village Cemetery (Willard Section), Marsh St. Wethersfield. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations be made in Julia’s name to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
