Diana (Garneau) Lettre, 94, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late Medard Lettre, passed away with her daughter by her side on Thursday April 22, 2010 at Hartford Hospital. Diana was born October 25, 1915 in Ham Nord Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Adelard and Laura (Gilbert) Garneau. She was a resident of Glastonbury for many years, along with being a communicant of St. Paul Church. Diana was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Shirley Pollard of South Windsor and Joan Toper of Marlborough; two sisters, Lena Millis and her husband James of East Hartford, and Sister Rita Garneau, a sister of Mercy of Middletown; sister in law, Constance Garneau of Florida; five grandchildren and their spouses, Keith and Susan Pollard of Enfield, Darlene Pollard Ladabouche and her husband Craig of Glastonbury, Denise Pollard Bombard and her husband Donald of Coventry, Michele Toper Goodwin and her husband Donavan of Salem, and Bryan and Heather Toper of East Hampton; ten great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; seven step great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son George Lettre; two brothers, Conrad and Raymond Garneau; sister Lydia Galipeau; son in law, Phillip Pollard; and great grandson William Pollard. Funeral procession from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury, will be held Tuesday April 27, 2010, at 9:00am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Diana’s life at 10:00am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Interment will be in the family plot in St. Augustine Cemetery, Hopewell Rd., Glastonbury.
