Rose M. (Crovo) Pelow, 85, of Newington, beloved wife of the late Donald E. Pelow entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marjorie (Evarts) Crovo. Rose was a graduate of Weaver High School Class of 1942. Prior to her retirement, Rose worked for Veeder Root and then for 20 years as a telephone operator with S.N.E.T.. She was a member of The Telephone Pioneers of America for many years. Rose’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Sharing in their loss are her children; Robert Pelow and his wife Deborah of North Syracuse, N Y, John Pelow and his wife Anne of Newington and Rosemarie Flannery and her husband William of Wethersfield, Rose also leaves her beloved grandchildren; Michael Flannery, James Flannery, Robert Pelow II, Daniel Pelow, John Pelow II, and Kathryn Pelow, her brother; James Crovo of Rocky Hill and her sister, Theresa Latoures and her husband Herbert of Old Saybrook and Florida. She also leaves her extended family members; Kerry and Michael Emonds and their children Colleen, Erin, Michaila, Michael and Conor and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Donald, she was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Mikolajczyk, her sisters; Jessie Smith, Mary Marino and Charlotte Guyette and her brother, John Crovo. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 19, 2010 9:00am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Rose’s life at 10am in The Church of The Holy Spirit, 183 Church St, Newington. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave, Hartford. Friends and relatives may call on the family Thursday, March 18, from 5-8pm at the Funeral Home.
