William W. Cusack, 83, of Wethersfield, devoted husband of Gertrude (Mann) Cusack, entered into the Lord’s embrace Thursday, March 11, 2010. Born August 23, 1926 in Newburyport, MA, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Hayes) Cusack. William was a World War II Marine Corp Veteran, entering the Corp on August 24, 1943, and honorably discharged March 5, 1946. After serving in the military, William went on to college for 4 years, graduating from Harvard University, Class of 1954. He was a Stockbroker and Partner for Buell Securities. He moved to the Hartford area in the 1958, then in 1964, he married his wife Gertrude. William loved to golf, and became very involved with the Wethersfield Country Club, where he served as President from 1974-1976. Along with Gertrude, William will be remembered by his two nephews, Atty Jonathan Kocienda of West Hartford, and Dr. Thomas Kocienda of Southbury. He was predeceased by his brothers in law, William Mann and Stanley Kocienda. Funeral procession from the Farley Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield will commence at 9:00am Tuesday, March 16, 2010 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in the Church of The Incarnation, 544 Prospect St, Wethersfield. Interment will follow at Village Cemetery, Marsh St., Wethersfield. Willliam’s family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Monday March 15 from 4-7pm. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations be made in William’s memory to Corpus Christi Parochial School, 581 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT 06109 or to a charity of the donors choice.
