Stella Sedorak Weldon 91, formerly of Glastonbury passed away peacefully on Monday, March 1, 2009 in Colombia, South America with her family by her side. She was the daughter of Mary and Luka Sedorak, who was a church founder of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church. She served as secretary/treasurer and other elected offices of the Sisterhood of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church. She had lived the past few years in Colombia, South America. Stella was predeceased by her husband, Harold, infant son, Harold Jr., sisters, Mary Kugler and Ann Dubzak, and her brother, John Sedorak. She is survived by a son, Russell Weldon and daughter in law, Patricia Escobar Weldon, two grandsons, Jeffrey and Allen Weldon, Karen Weldon, mother of her grandsons and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 17, 2010, 10am in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic, 24 New London Tpk. Interment will be immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Make a Wish Foundation, 126 Monroe Tpk, Trumbull, CT. 06611, or a charity of donor’s choice.
