Peter J. Mangan, 50, of West Hartford, beloved husband to Margaret “Peggy”(Callahan) Mangan, entered eternal peace Tuesday September 1, 2009. Peter was born in Hartford, June 3, 1959, and was the son of the late Thomas J. and Kathleen (Lyons) Mangan. He resided in the Hartford area all of his life. He owned and operated Mangan Auto Works of Newington for many years. Along with his wife, Peter will be remembered by two brothers and their wives, Thomas & Denise Mangan of East Hartford, Kelly and Jean Mangan of Manchester; a sister and her husband, Kathleen (Mangan) Lawlor and her husband Richard of Glastonbury; several nieces and nephews. Peter had a love for animals, especially his dogs, Tyler and Bondo. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 5, 2009, 9:00am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian at 10:00am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Private interment will held at the convenience of the family. Peter’s family will receive relatives and friends in the Funeral Home, Friday September 4, from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
