Stephanie (Blazawski) Demers, 87, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late William T. Demers, entered eternal peace Monday July 13, 2009 at Salmon Brook Center. Born in Glastonbury October 29, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Kunikewich) Blazawski and resided in the Glastonbury and East Hartford area all her life. Prior to her retirement in 1986, she was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for many years. Stephanie will be fondly remembered by her family; her three sons, William Demers of East Hartford, Alan Demers and his wife Patricia of Broadbrook, and Forrest Demers and his wife Lydia of Newington; five grandchildren, Alicia, Brittany, Thea, Tyler and Erika; a brother Charles Blazawski of Glastonbury; two sisters, Lena Zovadjancik of Glastonbury and Helen Martocchia of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 17, 2009 at 10am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury, CT. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. Friends and relatives may call on the family at the funeral home, Thursday, July 16, 2009 from 4-7pm.
