Lydia Campos, 89, the widow of Thomas R. Campos II died on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at St. Mary Home. Lydia was born December 24, 1919 in Camuy, Puerto Rico. Lydia raised nine children in Brooklyn, New York and she later moved to Hartford, Connecticut. She was predeceased by her husband and four children, Thomas Campos III, Marina Campos, Yolanda Campos and Ruben Campos. She is survived by her children and spouses, Carmen and Ruben Garcia, Joseph Campos, Arnold and Gloria Campos, Milton Campos, Frederick Campos and Iris Vega Campos, surviving wife of Thomas Campos III, 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Lydia always knew how to laugh and enjoy her life, and was loved by her children and family. She was a lover of animals and enjoyed her Salsa dancing and music. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 7pm. in St. Mary Home Chapel, 2021 Albany Ave, West Hartford, CT. |
